My latest treasure hunt and a celebration

Well friends, I was so excited AND humbled this morning to wake up finding I now have 100 followers! You are ALL so wonderful and I'm learning much from each and every one of you. Thank you for following and my goal is to be posting on a more consistent basis. I love all of your blogs and sometimes spend more time perusing them than I do updating mine. Looking forward to getting to know you all better and meeting brand new friends and blogs too.

I'M WORKING ON A GIVEAWAY TO CELEBRATE HAVING 100 FOLLOWERS...STAY TUNED!

First, I want to show you a current view of my space at the WCS. I love hunting for goodies for all our regular and new customers. Something I'm really excited about is April ( 9th and 10th) We're going to be having a special "first time" event at the store. We'll be having a tent set up outside the store and our theme is "At home with White". All the shop girls are getting ready to wow everyone with their findings. There'll be all shades of white furniture and decor, mixed with silver, burlap, mercury glass...well...you get it... a real shabby french farmhouse sort of look. If you're in the area...don't miss it. Some of the girls will be carrying the theme inside the store as well.

I'm keeping my white findings a secret for now...but I'd like to show you some sweetness I picked up along the way. This little vintage shelf is sooo shabby perfect. The camera doesn't pick up the true color which is a pale aqua blue. Very feminine and sweet. She's waiting in the shop for just the right home.

Oh...ok...I'll show you just one small item that's going in the "At Home with White" event. This shabby vintage step stool. She's gorgeous and would look lovely embellished with some lace and plants.
I found this little vintage french treasure at a shop in Plymouth. Couldn't resist it.

This old Transferware pitcher is to die for . Very old and previously loved. Had to snatch her up!

I fought myself about keeping this one but put it in the shop. It's one of those items that if it doesn't sell, I'll be well...HAPPY...to bring it back home. This is a shabby vintage folding table, chippy paint in ALL the right places as you can see. My heart started pounding the moment I saw it.
And my last treasure to show you is a keeper...for me! I took two pics at the shop it was hanging in so you could get the idea. It's the top basket...the french wire laundry basket. Isn't it fabulous? Not sure we're I'll hang it or place it yet, but what an accent to make a grouping around!!!

She has a little piece of wire missing in one bottom corner, but that didn't deter me at all. Let me know what you think.

What is this???

For White Wednesday over at Faded Charm, I wanted to show you this set I picked up at an estate sale over the summer. It's so lovely, but I'm just not sure exactly what it is or what it's worth. Can anyone help me figure this out? It came as sort of two sets....one teapot with a sugar bowl and creamer, one chocolate looking pot with sugar bowl and creamer and a piece that almost looks like a small casserole dish with cover. There's also a round butter dish with cover that somehow didn't make the picture.

You can kind of see in the pic below that the top row of gold is raised, unlike the gold line underneath

The bottoms are marked P.K. Silesia with something that looks like eagles wings above it, as you can see below. I looked it up online, and all I could find out was that it seems to be in the family of R.S. Prussia.

I have no idea how old it is, or what it's worth. All the pieces are in top shape with no chips or nicks. Anyone in the know? I'd appreciate any help or resource you could send my way.

Snowy Days and Christmas Displays

Brrrr....Snowy Days in New England just never end this Winter. We seem to be having a major snowstorm once a week. I thought I'd share a couple pics of one of our many snowstorms...this one was a wet and heavy snow as you can see how it's bending my little tree.This pic was taken from my window out towards my neighborsThis is my neighbors home on the other side. Aren't the branches so pretty "laced" with the snow?

Here are my little Winter Snowfriends that come out each year to play.

They like to stand guard by my white tree with burlap bow This has been my table centerpiece for Chrismas and Winter. I used a lot of "natural" items around the candle and really loved the look it gave.

This is one wall of my dining room that got "dressed up" for Christmas.

I tried to stick with a lot naturals this year, creams, browns, silver.

I loved putting little groupings of trees in bowls, planters, or even silver gravy boats in this case!

Just ending with a showing of some of my Winter Wonderland Houses. I adore these and am slowly collecting them.

White Wednesday Creations

First of all, I want to send my sincere apologies for being away from blogging for so long. I'm ashamed to say my last post was August 24th. So much has happened in my life since then...change of job, change of church, and a complete kitchen remodel just to name three. I've missed you all and will have fun catching up on all your blogs. I promise NOT to be away so long again. I'm looking forward to sharing pics soon of our kitchen remodel, along with goodies and treasures from my little space at the Wrentham Country Store. For now, I'm hooking up with Kathleen over at Faded Charm for a little White Wednesday magic. I wanted to show you a couple of my creations.

I took a vintage white ice-skate that belonged to my mom and filled it with some winter wonderland goodies and some pale pink flowers. Sort of an ice-skate vase if you will. I have it for sale in my spot at the store. I just love it and may have to keep it.... Next, I made some ornaments this year. These particular ones are made from a vintage hymnal and then glittered and edged out with german glitter glass. I just love how they came out.
