Here are some pics of my shabby "office" area. Well...it's not really an office. We had tried every room in the house, and somehow the computer station just looked so out of place no matter where we put it. One of the luxuries of an older home can be a large entry hallway, so one day I was a little inspired reading a decorating magazine that suggested thinking of unusual places to set up a "mini office"....and that's how my hallway office was "born".
This beauty hangs above the desk. I scored this treasure a few years ago on ebay. It's a paper print of "A Study of Roses" by Paul de Longpre decoupaged onto a chippy yummy long cupboard door.
Here is the sweetest vintage wooden cabinet ever! I purchased this more than a couple of years ago from Jennifer at "The Old Painted Cottage". It has 7 drawers that I labeled for receipts, bills, envelopes, etc. She's very heavy and sturdy, but most importantly ladies...she's chippy!!
And of course...no office would be complete without something pretty to hold pens and pencils...
Hope you've enjoyed a little "peek" into my entryway office.(messy papers and all) I'd love to hear any ideas you have about optimizing your spaces creatively...I'm ready for some inspiration! Blog away!

Oh my what a darling office. You will have to stop by and see mine. Giggle. I love the rose print and the candles make it feel romantic.
