White "PINTEREST" Wednesday

This week for White Wednesday,  I'm showcasing just a few of my favorite "Whites" from my PINTEREST Boards.

If you haven't already joined the  PINTEREST craze, you don't know what you're missing.  So much inspiration, so much to drool over...you'll see!

I'll try to give credit to the original blogs or sites these pics were found on...when able.  So pull up a chair, and enjoy some extraordinary eye candy with me.

The shades of white here are over the top gorgeous.

Shabby Spring

Spring has come early in New England...
So as you can imagine, my decorating urges have taken over!

Time to shake off the old and bring in the new ~
I decided to begin with the mantel in my sitting room

I love creating little vignettes

Doesn't Spring make you feel so alive and refreshed?

Here's my mantel in all her "Spring Glory"

I stenciled the little Garden Thyme sign on a vintage piece of wood~

Here's another peek of the sitting room

And this is yet another corner
As you can tell...I use every available inch of space

And this is the opposite side of the room...from here you can "peek" into my
dining room...

Now we're on to the living room

When decorating for Spring, I went back to the cottage feel since I wanted to pull in pale blues and greens that speak of warm weather.

I also stenciled the Garden Room sign on old chippy wood

Here is the other side of the living room

It was a bit chilly the day I snapped these pics as you can tell by the fire in my pellet stove

My sweet rhinestone clocks...I never get tired of these

Framed roses

Here's my dining room... Can you tell I have a penchant for clocks? Hence...
A Shabby Moment in Time....

A peek of my kitchen, although this pic is a bit dark

And here are a couple more

Since my home is up for sale, it appears this will be my last Spring here.
I've lived here for 21 years, and although it's not without sadness that I leave,
I'm looking forward to whatever comes next, and am actually excited now.

The Lord has a plan, and I'm eager to leave it all in His capable hands.

I'm hitching my Spring wagon to Faded Charm for White Wednesday.

See you there!

Happy Spring

March in New England has never felt so good

The sun is shining...

the birds are singing...
  All is warm and beautiful
I am reminded of this quote:
Every spring is the only spring - a perpetual astonishment.  ~Ellis Peters
Isn't that so true?  No matter how many Spring's we are given, each one seems like the first.

You just feel as though your heart could burst with the wonder of it all.

Happy 1st Day of Spring Everyone!  May all your days be sunny and bright!

For the love of giving

Dear Friends...
It's been three long months since I've blogged.
How do I explain that?

hmmmm........
suppose I could tell you:

....I momentarily fell off the face of the earth
....or fell into a very deep well...
....or won a three month all expense paid trip to "Anywhere I wanted," USA
....or maybe I was abducted by aliens....

It all sounds so tempting to use as an excuse!

but the truth is...I've just had to concentrate on my life "journey" with all it's changes, twists and turns.  I will elaborate a bit sometime in the future.   Thank you to those who have checked in on me.  I appreciate it more than you know, and please forgive me if I wasn't able to reply and respond to each of you.

That all being said, I hope the rest of you still remember me. :)   I've thought about you and all your beautiful blogs so often, wishing I could devote more time to perusing them.

So, I'm thrilled to be back with a post that shows you just a little of my recent shenanigans!  I've been embellishing little gift bags to sell in the shop which I thought would be more unique than what you'd find at the local pharmacy or dollar store.  I'm happy to report they seem to be going over pretty well with the customers.

Sometimes, you just want to add that extra touch to your gift giving, so with that in mind, these little bags were "born".   Here's just a small sampling...most of them are one of a kind unique. For now, I pretty much try to use goodies I already have in the home.

Do let me know which one is your favorite...

I also wanted to give you a little peek at the natural soaps I've been carrying at the shop. They're so yummy and are infused with Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Soybean oil.  Another big hit with the customers.  I've labeled them "A Soothing Moment in Time" since I just didn't think A Shabby Moment in Time conjured up comforting images for a peaceful bath..  :)

And lastly, although this pic was taken before Christmas, I wanted to show you this picture of some of the shop girls at Wrentham Country Store.  From left to right we have Deb, Mary, Mary Ellen~shop owner, me, and Karen C.  We are part of the Sunday Crew (except for Mary...she's a Tuesday girl but usually comes by to visit us on Sundays)  Love them all! A treasure...each and every one!!
For now I'll say goodnight, but I'll be taking some time to visit your blogs this week to see all the lovely things you've been up to.  See you then!

I'm so far behind, I think I'm in first place!

My blogger friends...I've missed you! I just recently returned from a week long trip to my happy place...
If you guessed someplace sunny and warm... you were right!

Ah...Sweet Florida....

I played hard all week with several good friends, and then came home and hit the ground running.

I began a forty hour a week temp job and the hours are 11:00 am to 7:30 pm five days a week. I'm grateful for the work, but the hours are tough.  I also work at the WCS every Sunday after church, so that leaves pretty much one day now to get "Life" done, if you know what I mean.

So...my blogging has suffered just a bit the last few weeks.  I'm trying to catch up on your blogs and find a way to keep mine updated...

Until then, be patient with me and know that I'm thinking of you all, and can't wait to oooh and ahhh over all your inspirations.

Until next post, I'll leave you with one little Christmas creation for the shop.
I made these little "Twelve Days of Christmas" Ornaments/Tags.
They are crafted from chipboard tags and of course numbers, tinsel, and glitter.
Close up, the glitter on them reminds me of sugar cookies...  mmmm!
These could be used for ornaments for a tree, or a base for an advent calendar, or even sweet gift tags for that special gift.

I think I'll link these up to Vintage Inspiration Friday at Common Ground, since they do seem to have a vintage appeal...don't you think?
