Come and Sit a Spell

On this rainy day in New England, I thought it good to share a post of my farmer's porch.  I  finally set it up just last week on my day off.
Porches are outdoor spaces that invite so many wonderful moments...

a spot to read...

to think and relax...
to hope...

 to dream....

a special place to just be quiet before the Lord and pray...

napping is also a wonderful pastime on an old front porch

or even to catch up with a neighbor passing by on an evening walk
I can tell you with a full heart that I have done all of the above on this old porch
...and much more

...I have played tea party games with my granddaughters

...watched my sons come home from war to cut their yellow ribbons off the front porch posts

...taken prom pictures

...wedding pictures

...and had deep conversations with wonderful friends

I hope if you have a porch, a deck, or even just a small little patch of green somewhere, you'll find a way to make it your own....a place where dreams are made.

The favorite part of my house?....yes, my PORCH! There is something about a porch in which time slows down and the world is looked at from a different perspective. LOVE MY PORCH...where memories are created! GREAT POSTING! From one sweetie to another....Roxie
