The reward of the hunt...

Even with the busyness of readying for the Fall Market at the shop, I still
managed to find time last weekend to do a little hunting...

Treasure hunting that is!

Here's a little grouping of some of my finds.  These were captured (but none were harmed)  from several sources including (but not limited to) yard sales, local antique shops, and of course, right from the WCS where I rent space.

Always happy to support my fellow dealers...  :)  Anywho...I'll show you close ups
First...I've been so excited to share this. See that pic below...the lovely bottle from The Beautiful Life?

Well, I've been coveting that for a couple weeks now from their website. I'm really loving the French Nordic look lately.  I think the price is around $26.00 and not a bad deal.

But...I was holding off, trying to behave (financially speaking)...ahem...cough cough
And then...look what I spied at a yard sale... and for only $3.00
A French Vinegar bottle which appears to be aged and still full of the vinegar to boot!
Here's the paper tag still on the back that reads product of France.  I just love when the sweet Lord rewards me with something so wonderful, and for much less than the original thing I wanted.  I imagine it makes Him smile when we wait on Him.
This heavy iron chandelier was also found at a yard sale.  I LOVE the frenchness (is that a word?) of this, don't you?
Little Big Ben is actually a good size and I purchased this from Mary Ellen at the shop.  I was drawn to the aged patina around the edges, giving it an almost zinc- like appeal.
I also found these old covered jars for $3.00 each (at the same yard sale as the French Vinegar bottle) I think I may embellish them with some black numbers.
Here's that cross that I promised you a pic of in an earlier post. Isn't this fabulous? Rusty and crusty in all the right places. My biggest problem will be deciding which room gets to have it.
Picked up this vintage industrial look desk lamp at a local antiques shop for $14.99.  I was thrilled since I saw another like it in the same store for over $30.00.  My lucky day!!
Another yard sale find...an old iron creamer. Painted white...shabby and rusty with drippy paint.  Be still my heart!  This set me back $10.00 but I couldn't resist it's French Farmhouse look.
Lastly, I just wanted to show you a sign I painted for my space at the shop.  My fellow shop girl Maureen suggested I put the little vintage clock faces on the side....
since after all... I am A Shabby Moment in "TIME"
Well, I hope all your hunts are successful, finding that perfect treasure to "mount" on your wall!
I'm linking up with White Wednesday at Faded Charm and Vintage Inspiration Friday at Common Ground.

My latest treasure hunt and a celebration

Well friends, I was so excited AND humbled this morning to wake up finding I now have 100 followers! You are ALL so wonderful and I'm learning much from each and every one of you. Thank you for following and my goal is to be posting on a more consistent basis. I love all of your blogs and sometimes spend more time perusing them than I do updating mine. Looking forward to getting to know you all better and meeting brand new friends and blogs too.
I'M WORKING ON A GIVEAWAY TO CELEBRATE HAVING 100 FOLLOWERS...STAY TUNED!
First, I want to show you a current view of my space at the WCS. I love hunting for goodies for all our regular and new customers. Something I'm really excited about is April ( 9th and 10th) We're going to be having a special "first time" event at the store. We'll be having a tent set up outside the store and our theme is "At home with White". All the shop girls are getting ready to wow everyone with their findings. There'll be all shades of white furniture and decor, mixed with silver, burlap, mercury glass...well...you get it... a real shabby french farmhouse sort of look. If you're in the area...don't miss it. Some of the girls will be carrying the theme inside the store as well.
I'm keeping my white findings a secret for now...but I'd like to show you some sweetness I picked up along the way. This little vintage shelf is sooo shabby perfect. The camera doesn't pick up the true color which is a pale aqua blue. Very feminine and sweet. She's waiting in the shop for just the right home.
Oh...ok...I'll show you just one small item that's going in the "At Home with White" event. This shabby vintage step stool. She's gorgeous and would look lovely embellished with some lace and plants.
I found this little vintage french treasure at a shop in Plymouth. Couldn't resist it.
She's waiting in the shop too for just the right buyer.
This old Transferware pitcher is to die for . Very old and previously loved. Had to snatch her up!
I fought myself about keeping this one but put it in the shop. It's one of those items that if it doesn't sell, I'll be well...HAPPY...to bring it back home. This is a shabby vintage folding table, chippy paint in ALL the right places as you can see. My heart started pounding the moment I saw it.
And my last treasure to show you is a keeper...for me! I took two pics at the shop it was hanging in so you could get the idea. It's the top basket...the french wire laundry basket. Isn't it fabulous? Not sure we're I'll hang it or place it yet, but what an accent to make a grouping around!!!
She has a little piece of wire missing in one bottom corner, but that didn't deter me at all. Let me know what you think.
Until next time...blessings and hugs! And stay tuned for my first giveaway!

A Peek at my space in the Wrentham Country Store

Here's a peek at some of the treasures currently for sale at my little space in the Wrentham Country Store. The displays are always changing as things sell, so the look is always different. I have such fun with it. It's more than a job or a hobby, it's a PASSION! I was treasure hunting today and found some awesome things that will soon find their way into my little corner at WCS. A beautiful shabby blue dresser, a glass and iron tea/or garden cart, an antique framed tapestry, some cast iron finials, awesome night stands (that just need a coat of shabby white paint) with original barbola or gesso on the front, a vintage shabbylicious parasol, and some other small items. Look for them in the coming weeks.

Check out these little vintage ladies gloves...sooo shabby sweet and garden style...

Look at this lovely I purchased for myself! It's a vintage chippy french wire collapsible laundry basket straight from the Paris Flea Market. These are getting harder and harder to find. I'm not sure where it's going to fit though, since it's quite large. I may find a spot for it on my porch (aka outdoor living space)...maybe with some flowers in it. If I had the room inside, I could just see it filled with spare pillows and throws, or maybe in the bath filled with towels. Any ideas ladies? I'm open to suggestions. As much as I love it, it may just find it's way into my space at the store if it proves too big for my dwelling. Waaaaahhhh!!!
