A much needed reminder

As I was poking through the aisles of Jo-anns Fabrics this morning, I came across something that stopped me in my tracks. This may look like an ordinary thing to some of you...a little way to feed the birds. But to me, it meant so much more. I KNEW I had to buy it and keep it in front of me as a visual reminder ....a reminder of something I already know, but sometimes allow fear to crowd out. You see, I've been going through some very difficult things in my personal life the last few months that will have far reaching effects on my future. My faith is in God and He's been carrying me through in an almost miraculous way. However, sometimes in my very human nature, I take my eyes off of HIM and start to look around at my circumstances and then fear of the unknown grips me. Where will I live? How will I afford it?

Then, I saw this little beauty and was reminded of God's most precious Word that says" Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Matt. 10:29-31 When I see this statue, I'm reminded that I too am in God's very strong capable hands and how much more valuable I am than the little sparrows he cares for. I'm sooo thankful I found this reminder...do you suppose He led me to it???

Blessings and Hugs,
Karen

  3. Most definitely. It is always at the very depth of our fears that He reveals His love to us in a special way. Yes, that statue was placed there for you to find. ~~Sherry~~

  5. I will keep you in my prayers Karen.
Keep your eyes on Him and don't look at the roaring waves around you, for it will be Him that will lead you through this difficult time of trials. Remember, this too shall pass.

    Big hug in Christ's love,
    Irma

  7. Amen & Amen Sister! He did indeed promise to work all things out for our good and His glory! Hold the faith just as you have been, He's right there with you. I'll be lifting you up in prayer with praise and thanksgiving that He is a Promise Keeper. You found a perfect reminder of His Great Promises too!
