Whites~ Chippy, Inspiration, and Blooming

Happy White Wednesday everyone! The first "white" that I wanted to show today is a pic of that lovely chippy cupboard I told you about in my last post...you know...the one I purchased from the "WHITE EVENT"

Dreamy, isn't it?   I haven't decided what to put inside her yet.   For now I've placed a couple things on top...two vintage frames, a chalk painted pot.....

and this french style wire basket with some sweet, realistic looking greens

I could use some ideas as to what to fill her shelves with. It's in my sitting room and the shelves are deeper than they are high, so it's a bit of a challenge.  One that I'm looking forward to however~
Today, I was so excited to receive this little package in the mail...and just in time for White Wednesday and Vintage Inspiration Friday!

It was wrapped up so pretty, it almost broke my heart to open it.  As you can see from the tag, it came from none other than the ever lovely "Petite Michelle Louise"  You can also see us meeting up at the White Event in my last post.

Michelle has the most gorgeous blog and etsy shop.  If you're not familiar, she crafts these incredible "inspiration holders" from vintage door knobs and other sweet embellishments.  I had asked her to personalize one for me...knowing my style and likes.

What I got was more than I hoped for...

Is this incredible or what???  She took my love of clocks (A Shabby Moment in Time), used a glass doorknob, gave me some bling across the top of the knob, and then added an off white rose since I love everything white!

She then personalized it for me on the back....

Thank you dear Michelle! You totally nailed it!!

I'll cherish it always!!    If you'd like one of her beautiful holders, or even a custom one, contact Michelle at her etsy shop.

My last entry today is of my white lilacs.  I waited a bit too long to take the pics so they're a bit past peak, but worth looking at just the same.  Since my home is up for sale, this is likely the last time I'll enjoy their blooms after 22 years here...

They've given me a lot of pleasure and something I've looked forward to every Spring.
I captured a couple to put on my table.. I also have a purple lilac tree in the front end of the house, but the white has always been my favorite.  I'm happy to have captured these in pictures, since now I'll be able to enjoy them forever.

Today I'm linking up with:

Until next time,

My turn to show off the White Event ~ finally

Our second annual "At Home With White Event" at WCS on April 14th-16th was a huge hit.  I of course, am the last of the Mohicans to post pics and blog about this incredible show, but alas...better late than never!

I'll take you on a tour of some of the displays inside the tent.  Not all of the shop girls participated in the tent (sadly I was one of them), but we all whitened our spaces in the store for the show. Next post, I'll share those pics, but for now....

Hold on to your hearts...

This was part of Sandi's space in the tent. (aka A Cottage Muse) I LOVED this corner...and that dress form is to die for!!!
Everything in this pic was begging to come home with me, but sadly...I had to decline
I must admit that this shabby chippy cupboard followed me home~
Jeannie's space looked like the Garden of Eden to me...lovely florals abound everywhere
Mary Ellen (Shop Keeper) had incredibly unique vignettes
This is Deb's space...she did an awesome job
See anything you like yet?
How about now?
This table and chair set of Sue's was gorgeous
The tent was filled with textures and shades of white to swoon over... as far as the eye could see~
Sandi's farm style corner
So much sweetness...it was almost too much to take in...
The Shop Girls did an amazing job inside the tent and in the shop as well.
I'm honored to know them and work alongside them!  They are all incredibly talented and creative!
Sigh!
I must tell you that as exciting as the event was, the thrill of the weekend for me was two special blogger friends who came to the event.....  none other than Michelle (aka Petite Michelle Louise) and Susan (aka Evelyn and Rose)

We met for the first time last year at our first annual White Event, and have stayed in touch since then through blogging and emails. They are both truly special ladies and it felt like we'd known each other forever!!
                                    Michelle and Susan

Here's a shot of me, Michelle, fellow shop girl Sandi (A Cottage Muse) and Susan

Susan also took this one of Michelle and I.  Michelle and Susan were such an encouragement to me that weekend , especially regarding this period in my life! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart!
And to end, here I am with Sweet Susan!  She is just as sweet as she looks.  If you haven't visited Michelle and Susan's blogs, you're in for a treat. And they both have gorgeous etsy shops to boot!
Next post, I'll be sharing  pics of the event from inside the shop, as well as some of my fellow shop girls!

For now, I'm linking up with:

A little peek before the "SHOW"

I hope you're not tired of seeing  chalk painted pots, since I created more for the "At Home with White" Show  (this coming weekend)

These one's are larger than the seedling pots in my last post so I wanted to do something different.
I'm happy with the way they came out, shabby with just enough chic
I also painted this little chest which has a wooden rod on the inside...perfect for hanging necklaces (or doll clothes if bought for a little girl)

The vintage bucket received  a coat of chalk paint, along with a "Fleurs" stencil~
I painted the mirror, which was dark brown.   Pardon the mess in the reflection.
(my drop cloths and paint rags) oops!
This Lane Chest got a makeover, along with a new seat cushion with vintage fabric. (Thanks Mom, for creating the cushion for me)

A sweet, generous in size wood tote...perfect for supplies of any kind.
And since I'm linking up to White Wednesday over at Faded Charm  with all my whites, I wanted to add these beautiful off- white roses that my cousin Pam gave me for my birthday. (which is tomorrow)

Aren't they gorgeous?  She knows I LOVE my whites!
Next time I post, I'll have pics of all the treasures the Shop Girls brought in for the White Event, as well as some of my things that I haven't shown you yet. ....After all...this is just a "little peek"
Happy White Wednesday!

Oh, and I'm linking this post to French Country Cottage for Feathered Nest Friday.  My first time joining the party! Thanks for hosting Courtney.

Chalk painted pots for the "WHITE EVENT"

I've been having a ball with Annie Sloan's Old White Chalk paint, so I wanted to share a quick preview of some little seedling pots that I've whipped into shape with Annie's paint.

I just sort of painted them haphazardly, letting some of the vintage terra cotta peek through..

I then added some rub on transfers to embellish them....

What do you think?  Wouldn't they be sweet filled with a tiny seedling plant or maybe with chunky little candles on the porch?
And of course you know I love clocks and "time" so they wouldn't be complete without a few of those...
I have quite a few different ones, not sure if they're all showing  in these pics

Anyway, this is all part of getting ready for the second annual WHITE EVENT
SHOW at the Wrentham Country Store. Show dates are April 14th and 15th. It promises to be even larger than last year.

For those of you who aren't familiar, a huge tent is rented and the shop girls fill it to the brim with whites, neutral tones, silver, rusty...you get the picture. All fresh stock.  Inside the store, the shop girls will also be "whitening" their spaces.

Although I won't be in the tent display this year due to life transitions and timing, I will be bringing as much white into my space as possible for the weekend.  Hence...the paintbrush....

My little seedling pots will find their way there, as well as other treasures that are getting a face lift.

Ok...it's back to the drawing board....I mean "painting board" for me.  Hope to see you at the Event.
