While out on my porch today, I noticed that "Old Glory" was reflected in the mirror . Isn't that cool? I'm so patriotic with two sons in the military. We fly our flag proudly all year long...not just on the 4th.
Isn't the bottom of this mirror absolutely precious?

White Wednesday at the Wrentham Country Store
Ahhh...it's that time of week again ~ The coveted White Wednesday. For this post, I thought I'd take a cue from my fellow shop girl Sandi, (aka A Cottage Muse) and post a few whites for sale around the Wrentham Country Store. First I'll show you two little whites residing in my space at the moment. Look at the detail of this shabby, chippy, white shelf adorned with roses. Isn't it precious?
In case you can't see, it's all wood except for the handles which are metal...just waiting to hang something sweet in a kitchen, bath, or entryway!
Next, here's a vintage cherub holding a wicker basket. Very chic to store a few of your favorite things!
Check out this adorable dresser from our shop girl Mary. She's my WCS neighbor (as her space is right beside mine) She is also offering that sweet vanity style mirror on top of the dresser. Beautiful whites!
My other neighbor ~ the lovely Sue, is directly across from me. She has this gorgeous white little pie safe up for grabs.
Look at this beautiful hall tree and mirror from Maureen and Peter (too bad I'm in the mirror) Plus...all the little goodies they have decorated it with. I sooo want that lamp!!
And yet another exquisite piece from Maureen and Peter... (and there I am in the mirror again! Note to self...photograph from an angle when taking pics near mirrors!)
This cherub bird bath is for sale out on the porch. Can you just imagine it all surrounded with flowers and watering cans? oooooh!
Sandi (A Cottage Muse) has this lovely vintage luggage for sale; all wrapped in a coat of white. Sandi always has plenty of whites in her space and I spend more than a little time sifting through her latest finds.
And now that I'm running short on time, I'll move us along a little quicker!
Here's a sweet cupboard from Betsy...
A garden shelf from Jeannie...
And lastly, a glass front vintage cupboard (maybe medicine?) from shop owner Mary Ellen.
We have so many more whites, I could never take pics of everything. Hope you found something to make you smile. Link up with Kathleen over at Faded Charm to grab some white inspiration ~

White Wednesday
Today I thought I'd share three little whites to celebrate White Wednesday. First, let's mosey on over to my vintage wicker loveseat. She's so yummy...just look at the sweetness of age. She only accomodates those of us in the small and feminine category, since she groans under the weight of the men in my home.
Next, I wanted to show you some vintage milk glass that my friend Tina gave me. Three heavy glasses with the snack plates. I loved the glasses and couldn't help wishing I had more to make a set. Then guess what??
Look what I found? In a local antique shop I happened upon, there waiting for me and on sale to boot were six more glasses and also the beautiful pitcher to match. I thought "as long as it's milk glass, the pattern doesn't matter"
I got it home and to my continued amazement, it was the EXACT same pattern as the 3 glasses I had. So now I have the beautiful pitcher, 9 glasses, w/ three snack plates all for the whopping price of $19.99.
Last but not least, I wanted to share a glimpse of my shabby white dripping with crystals chandlier. She was a win on ebay about three years ago and graces my dining room.
Hope you've enjoyed viewing my little whites. Head on over to Faded Charm to see what other goodies are being hosted there by Kathleen.

A Treasure Trek To New Hampshire
Well, I had planned to go to the Brimfield Antique Show on Sunday, but after seeing Mary Ellen's post from her Wrentham Country Store blog (Thanks for the lead Mary Ellen!), I decided instead to make the 2 hour trek to New Hampshire to check out The White Home Collections in Wilton. (Thanks to my wonderful hubby for doing all the driving) Boy am I glad I did. At first I thought I'd do a little shopping for my little space at the Wrentham Country Store, but after picking my jaw off the ground it was apparent that I'd be shopping for none other than me, myself, and I.
Anyway, here I found the piece that spoke to me...LOUD and CLEAR!!! We will be remodeling our entire kitchen soon with off white cabinetry (biscotti to be exact). Even though our kitchen is small, I knew I had room for a small piece in the center of the kitchen to serve as an extra work space if you will. With all that newness coming to my kitchen, I knew the piece had to be old, chippy, and full of charm. Well..to my eternal delight, I found that piece at The White Home Collections in Wilton, New Hampshire. Here she is in all her chippy, faded, blue glory....
Can you believe that not only are there five drawers and a cupboard (with a shelf) in this beauty, but her top drawer has a built in cutlery tray/divider? Be still my heart! I'm convinced if I flipped this chest over, my name would be inscribed on it somewhere...that's just how PERFECT a fit it is for me and my little home!
She will definitely provide me with extra storage for all those little odds & ends in a kitchen. And not only did I get 10% off the price...but there is NO SALES TAX in New Hampshire, which made the win even sweeter!!
Lastly, in the near future, look for Deb at The White Home Collections to be adding a blog to her website, so she can tempt you even more with her awesome displays of shabby, cottage, chic, garden delights. I look forward to a trip back there soon. For now, here is just an appetizer of displays amongst three floors of absolute heaven!
Hope you enjoy these little pics as much as I did visiting! And please let me know what you think of my shabby old cupboard!

White Wednesday
Well...here is my first "be it ever so humble" White Wednesday post. I've loved viewing, sighing, and drooling over all the wonderful whites you've all so admirably posted for quite awhile now. So, I looked about for something "white worthy" to post and came up with a couple of items that I HOPE you'll enjoy. First, we have a little white/cream vignette on a dresser in my bedroom.
Next I have a couple of sweet vintage, creamy french style cherubs who sit atop my dining room cabinet. For now they hold some candles, but they've also be known to hold soaps in the bath, and potpourri as well. I won these years ago on ebay and could never part with them. They are chunky and quite heavy!
Thanks Kathleen over at Faded Charm for hosting White Wednesday! I'm thrilled to be a part of it!

Outdoor Living
The beauty of decks and porches is that they increase our living spaces...just when we need them most. (after being couped up inside from our loooong New England winters.)
Here is our back deck...the place we flock to on those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer we've been experiencing...or should I say steamy??
This is our ninth year with the pool, but just this summer we had the deck built out to meet it. We enjoy being out here so much more now. Nothing like a refreshing dip and a barbecue.
A pool is such a blessing in hot weather...I never want to take it for granted! Come on in, the water's fine!!!
At the front of the house, we have a wrap around farmer's porch.
I don't live on a country road with loads of privacy, but that doesn't stop me from making the most of outdoor living, enjoying the fresh air every chance I get. A porch is such a wonderful luxury. I don't think I'd ever want to be without one.
...A place to daydream
...Read a good book or magazine
...Chat with a friend
...Sip something cold
...take in the beauty
...or even indulge in a quick nap
No porch is complete without some old shabby wicker! That being said, I love my porch! It's never the same twice, and constantly being redecorated. Next week it may look totally different, as I love trying to find new ways to re-purpose and re-station things I already have. I'd LOVE to see some pics of YOUR outdoor living spaces.
